The season of tech reveals is here as Samsung is expected to kick it off on July 10th with its annual Galaxy Unpacked event. With every event comes many rumours about what the company will reveal and this one is no different.
As reported by many sources, AI is set to be part and parcel of the presentation as the company has confirmed that it will reveal the “next generation of Galaxy AI”. This comes alongside the Galaxy device ecosystem that could see new devices added to it.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
According to numerous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be the start of the show as the Korean firm has been steadily adding features to the device. The foldable phablet is expected to continue the trend and hopefully compete with its rivals especially since the company was dethroned by Huawei in this year’s market.
So we could see the Z Fold 6 come with some new dimensions to try and make it thinner and lighter with a wider display. Other than that, the fold is expected to have a very familiar camera module and no built-in S Pen slot. For performance, the foldable is expected to house an optimised version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with at least 256GB of in-built storage.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
The other foldable device expected to take centre stage is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 which is expected to receive some major upgrades. According to the leaks, the device will come with a 4,000mAh battery which is bigger than its predecessor’s. The primary rear camera is also expected to upgrade to 50MP, which should give users a higher picture quality.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Series & Watch Ultra
Samsung is also expected to have a huge focus on its new iterations of its smartwatches with the Galaxy Watch 7 Series and a brand new lineup, the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The Watch 7 Series will reportedly have the usual upgrades including a newer processor, faster charging, brighter display and better health tracking capabilities.
The Ultra is expected to make its debut as an answer to the Apple Watch Ultra, a rugged, more durable variant of the regular smartwatch line. The name alone says what you need to know about Samsung’s inspiration for this new watch.
It will reportedly have a squircle design with a circular micro-LED display with top-end performance and a huge battery. It’s likely to offer similar levels of tracking for outdoor activities as well, although it’s rumoured to come with a hefty price tag.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 & Buds 3 Pro
Numerous leaks have also revealed that Samsung could finally be bringing a new version of its earbuds with the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. However, the new variants could have a design that looks very similar to Apple’s AirPods 3rd Gen but without the silicon ear tips. So we could finally have Samsung Buds with a stem design and not the bean design that we have seen on the last two versions.
Galaxy AI
Samsung has already confirmed in its official invite that it will unveil the next generation of Galaxy AI during the event. Unlike January’s event where the AI was only compatible with the Galaxy S24 series, we expect the new features to be spread to the other lineups including the foldables and smartwatches.
