The iPhone 16 launch is drawing closer and with it comes a ton of reports and rumours as many consumers and tech insiders try to speculate what to expect from the upcoming lineup. Well, one of the latest rumours is that the iPhone SE lineup is set to continue thanks to the SE 4 whose design and chassis are expected to be very similar to the flagship iPhone 16 series.
Normally, the iPhone SE usually comes with the design of an older iPhone, being that it’s a cheaper version. Before this, the upcoming iPhone SE 4 was rumoured to have the same chassis as the iPhone 14. But sources from China, where Apple’s factory is located claim that the phone’s back will be exactly as the vanilla iPhone 16.
It is only a matter of time before we see how Apple will arrange the rear camera module on the iPhone SE 4. According to leaked renders, the smartphone is expected to have a notched display and feature a single rear camera.
The iPhone’s 16 main talking point for months now has been the rear camera setup that is expected to be realigned with many speculating that it is to fit the Apple Vision Pro.
As far as internals are concerned, the device will also reportedly feature the A18 Apple Silicon chipset and come with at least 6 GB of memory to accommodate Apple’s generative AI additions to iOS 18.
Despite always coming in a smaller size, the SE 4 is also expected to match the more expensive iPhone 16’s display size. So, the question comes in about how much competition this model will bring against the iPhone mini.
