The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened application for those seeking to pursue academic programmes offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). This application period is open for the September 2024 intake. All applicants are mandated to use the KUCCPS online Student’s Portal for submissions.
15 diploma and certificate courses are open for applicants. The minimum grade requirement needed to apply for the diploma programmes is C. For the certificate courses available at KMTC, minimum grade requirement set for most is C-. However, the Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics course stands out as the minimum grade requirement has been set at D+.
KMTC has 84 campuses in Kenya. Take note, not all campuses offer all programs available. As such, during the online application on KUCCPS, ensure to check KMTC campus and desired course.

How to apply for KMTC Courses Via KUCCPS
The first step is to go through the KMTC September intake brochure. Check any of the 15 course and the requirements.
- Log on to the KMTC website
- Click Apply Now on the homepage (This option is available only when the portal is open for applications).
- The website will take you to the KMTC application portal.
- To begin, create a new account by clicking “Register” at the top right corner of the page. If you already have an account, log in using your credentials. Once you’re logged in, navigate to your personal dashboard.
- On the left-hand side, find the “Application” section and click “Apply Preservice
- Enter the required information. Verify that all the information entered is correct
- Follow the prompts to complete the application documents. Attach the relevant documents as prompted. Note that this step may be temporarily waived.
- Submit your application and wait for communication.
