KUCCPS Opens KMTC September Intake, How to Apply Online

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened application for those seeking to pursue academic programmes offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).  This application period is open for the September 2024 intake. All applicants are mandated to use the KUCCPS online Student’s Portal for submissions.

15 diploma and certificate courses are open for applicants. The minimum grade requirement needed to apply for the diploma programmes is C.  For the certificate courses available at KMTC, minimum grade requirement set for most is C-. However, the Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics course stands out as the minimum grade requirement has been set at D+.

KMTC has 84 campuses in Kenya. Take note, not all campuses offer all programs available. As such, during the online application on KUCCPS, ensure to check KMTC campus and desired course.

Here are the KMTC programmes open for the September intake:

  1. Certificate in Community Health Assistant
  2. Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology
  3. Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician
  4. Certificate in Medical Engineering
  5. Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics
  6. Certificate in Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine
  7. Certificate in Public Health
  8. Diploma in Community Health
  9. Diploma in Health Counselling
  10. Diploma in Health Promotion
  11. Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology
  12. Diploma in Medical Engineering
  13. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
  14. Diploma in Physiotherapy
  15. Diploma in Public Health

How to apply for KMTC Courses Via KUCCPS

The first step is to go through the KMTC September intake brochure. Check any of the 15 course and the requirements.

  1. Log on to the KMTC website
  2. Click Apply Now on the homepage (This option is available only when the portal is open for applications).
  3. The website will take you to the KMTC application portal.
  4. To begin, create a new account by clicking “Register” at the top right corner of the page. If you already have an account, log in using your credentials. Once you’re logged in, navigate to your personal dashboard.
  5. On the left-hand side, find the “Application” section and click “Apply Preservice
  6. Enter the required information. Verify that all the information entered is correct
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the application documents. Attach the relevant documents as prompted. Note that this step may be temporarily waived.
  8. Submit your application and wait for communication.

How to apply via KMTC Website

Head to the KMTC Admissions Portal (available at www.kmtc.ac.ke) to submit your application for the upcoming academic year. You’ll find all the information you need on the portal, including:
