Infinix, a tech brand popular among young consumers, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Samsung Electronics’ System LSI Business. The collaboration focuses on joint optimization efforts, resulting in the world’s first 108MP AI-Powered Advanced Deep Learning Algorithm (AIADLA) for mobile photography.
This new technology leverages Samsung ISOCELL’s Image Sensor Software Algorithms to overcome limitations in traditional image enhancement techniques. The AIADLA optimizes noise reduction and detail reproduction, promising exceptional image quality even in challenging long-range and low-light conditions.
Weiqi Nie, Head of Product at Infinix, stated, “The partnership between Infinix and Samsung’s System LSI Business will redefine the mobile photography experience. By harnessing the power of AI and deep learning, we are empowering users to capture stunning, professional-grade images with the convenience of their smartphones.”
The AIADLA technology aims to democratize high-quality photography for casual users. It allows for detailed, high-resolution images to be captured from a distance using the main mobile camera, with the ability to crop and adjust framing without losing image quality. This advancement is particularly beneficial in low-light conditions, where the algorithm reduces noise and distortion.
Seongwook Song, Master of the System LSI Sensor Architecture Team at Samsung Electronics, asserted, “Our collaboration with Infinix has enabled the development of AI-Powered Advanced Deep Learning Algorithm, leveraging our sophisticated ISCOELL deep learning algorithms. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile imaging technology, empowering users to create content with unparalleled quality and visual impact.”
The AIADLA utilizes a pre-trained image database for AI-powered calibration during software mosaic rearrangement. This builds upon Samsung’s ISOCELL image sensor hardware remosaic technology, allowing the algorithm to adapt intelligently to various scenes.
Infinix plans to integrate this new technology into upcoming smartphone models, promising to redefine mobile photography capabilities for its users. With this innovative partnership, Infinix is likely to set a new standard in smartphone imaging.
