Vivo S20

Vivo has officially announced its latest flagship, the Vivo S20, on November 28, 2024. The device is set to be released on December 6, 2024. The vivo S20 comes packed with top-notch features.

Design and Build

The Vivo S20 boosts a slim profile at 7.2 mm thick and weighs just 186 grams. With its IP64 rating, the device is resistant to dust and water splashes, ensuring durability in daily use. It comes equipped with a scratch/drop-resistant glass feature. It’s available in Gray, Gold, and White.

Display

The Vivo S20 features a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display. Offering 1 billion colors, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an incredible peak brightness of 5000 nits, the screen promises vibrant visuals. The display resolution is 1260 x 2800 pixels (~460 PPI).

Performance

Under the hood, the Vivo S20 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipsets built on a 4nm process. The device features an Octa-core processor, blending performance and efficiency:

  • 1 Cortex-A715 core clocked at 2.63 GHz for peak performance.
  • 3 Cortex-A715 cores at 2.4 GHz for sustained high performance.
  • 4 Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8 GHz for energy-efficient tasks.

Additionally, it comes equipped with Adreno 720 GPU for gaming and better graphics performance. It comes paired with Android 15 and Vivo’s custom OriginOS 5.

.

The Vivo S20 provides a range of internal storage and memory configurations catering both casual and powerr users.

  • 256GB storage paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM
  • 512GB storage paired with 12GB or 16GB RAM

With UFS 2.2 technology, users can expect faster data access and file transfers. However, the device lacks microSD card for storage expansion.

Camera

The vivo S2 stands out with an impressive dual camera setup. It features a 50 MP primary sensor (f/1.9, 23mm) with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) that ensures sharp photos. It is also equipped with 8 MP ultrawide sensor (f/2.2, 106°) for better group shots. Photography is further enhanced with features like Ring-LED flash, panorama, and HDR. The rear cameras support 4K and 1080p video recording with gyro-EIS for stable, smooth footage.

On the front, the Vivo S20 is equally capable with a 50 MP selfie camera (f/2.0, 22mm) featuring autofocus. Its selfie camera also supports 4K and 1080p video recording.
