The Samsung Galaxy S25 series, comprising the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, is now available for pre-order in Kenya, with an official release yet to be revealed. This new lineup blends cutting-edge design, enhanced performance, and advanced features, promising a premium experience for users.
The Galaxy S25 and S25+ retain a sleek aluminium design with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The S25 features a 6.2-inch display, while the S25+ offers a larger 6.7-inch screen. Both models support a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals.
The S25 Ultra stands out with a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, adaptive refresh rates between 1 and 120Hz, and an impressive peak brightness of 2600 nits. Its textured titanium frame and redesigned look with rounded corners further enhance durability and aesthetics.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the S25 series offers a consistent performance experience globally, moving away from the use of Exynos chips in certain regions. Each model is equipped with 12GB of RAM, while storage options include up to 512GB for the S25 and S25+ and up to 1TB for the S25 Ultra.
In terms of camera capabilities, the S25 and S25+ feature a 50MP main sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The S25 Ultra, however, takes photography to the next level with its 200MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. All models include a 12MP front-facing camera.
Running on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7, the S25 series introduces advanced AI features like generative photo editing, audio noise reduction in videos, and intelligent suggestions, offering a more personalized and intuitive user experience. Sustainability is also emphasized, with recycled materials used in the devices and a commitment to seven years of updates for longevity.

While the lineup has been criticised heavily for not having that big of a spec bump from its predecessor, the pricing is notably lower compared to the Galaxy S24 series when it launched early last year. So the main question is whether the price drop will be worth it for those wishing to acquire any of the three S25 smartphones.
In Kenya, the S25 series can be pre-ordered through authorized retailers and official Samsung stores across the country. As part of the pre-order campaign, customers may benefit from exclusive offers or bonuses including a KES 5000 cashback for all pre-orders placed through the Loop banking app.
