YouTube Music has officially started rolling out its 2025 Recap, giving users an early preview of their annual listening trends.
While Spotify’s Wrapped remains the most popular year-end music review, YouTube Music has steadily evolved its own format, and this year, the platform is taking personalization to the next level with a brand-new AI-powered chat feature.
As first reported by 9to5Google, the feature, titled “Ask anything about your 2025 listening experience,” allows users to interact with their music history in real-time, offering deeper insights into listening habits than ever before.
The standout feature of the 2025 Recap is its AI-powered chat. Instead of just showing charts and graphs, YouTube Music now lets users ask detailed questions about their listening habits and receive personalized answers.
For example, listeners can discover their most-played artist, top genres, hours spent streaming, or even the month they discovered the most new music.

This conversational approach changes the traditional recap into an interactive experience, letting users explore their music habits in a natural, intuitive way.
The 2025 Recap still maintains the familiar story-style interface, similar to Instagram Stories or Spotify Wrapped. Users can swipe through sections that highlight:
- Top songs and artists
- Favorite genres and moods
- Seasonal listening trends
- Activity-based insights
- Newly discovered music
The recap features a carousel navigation, allowing users to move seamlessly between sections and focus on the stats that interest them the most.
How to Access the 2025 Recap
To check if the feature is available, users can follow these steps:

- Tap the profile picture in the top-right corner.

The rollout is phased, meaning availability may vary by device and region. Both Android and iOS users are included in the update.
