There have been various rumours and counter-rumours about its existence, its possible variants, it being delayed and even possible availability dates but what happened yesterday should be the final confirmation to all doubters that indeed the Galaxy S4 mini exists. This is after it made a brief appearance on Samsung’s app store, Samsung Apps.
Seemingly what was leaked is what we expect to be the LTE variant of the Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195). This was bound to happen at some since the Galaxy S III also got a lower specced sibling in the Galaxy S III mini featuring a smaller screen with different display tech and a lowly clocked dual-core processor. The Galaxy S4’s direct sibling is expected to pack:
- 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU
- 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Display with qHD resolution (540×960, 256 ppi)
- 1 GB RAM (for 3G variants), 2 GB RAM (for the LTE version)
- 32 GB internal memory
- Android 4.2 (of course laced with TouchWiz Nature UX)
- 8 megapixel camera
- 2,100 mAh battery (just like the Galaxy S III’s battery)
Availability and pricing details should be out as soon as the device is confirmed by Samsung.
