Intel will be doing a mini-Shark Tank later today Wednesday 11th December at the iHub in Nairobi. The aim of this event is to get new fresh ideas that can become the next big thing. No regurgitation as Intel is clear on this.
“We are looking for apps that were developed this year, which have not yet gone through the major tech competition circuit – we want fresh ideas and in return we’ll help you get ready for the next big step” wrote Racheal Gichinga, Intel Developer Relations Manager on the iHub blog.
What’s there to gain from this?
The winner who will be picked by a panel of judges at the event which will be a pitch moment for the interesting apps gets a $5000 marketing budget for their app and this will be done by an Intel approved marketing agency. Other prizes include Intel powered gadgets ranging from Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, Asus Fonepad and Intel Yolo Smartphone.
Intel reckons that there’s a lot of great apps that never get to be heard of and Intel seeks to reverse this by giving developers a platform to get these great innovations some growth space. Tell your story and get some help with the product scaling. We’ll be there later in the day to cover the event live so stay around.
