We’ve seen online retailers like Jumia and Duka1 open pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5, the carriers are joining the party too and as was the case with the Galaxy S4 last year, they have accompanying goodies for those who will be interested in purchasing Samsung’s latest smartphone from them. Airtel Kenya has opened its pre-orders for the device and all you need to be the proud owner of a Galaxy S5 and the Gear Fit is Ksh 89,999.
For those that will pay using Airtel Money, they’ll get a Ksh 5,000 discount in addition to the 1.75 GB data that everyone who pre-orders the device through Airtel Kenya will be getting.
Pre-orders close on the 7th of April so you may need to hurry as this is likely your best chance of getting the S5 at a good deal before fixed retail prices take over when the device is officially announced in the local market. Global shipments of the Galaxy S5 start on April 11th when it will be arriving in various markets. India will get the device towards the end of this week.

We now have all the details about Airtel’s Galaxy S5 pre-order deal. Apart from the above pre-order deal where one will get the Galaxy S5 and Gear Fit for Ksh 89,999 in addition to a free 1.75 GB data bundle, you can pre-order the Galaxy S5 alone and that will set you back some Ksh 69,999. The price will drop to just Ksh 64,999 if you pay via Airtel Money. You get 1.75 GB as well.
You can pre-order the Galaxy S5 through Airtel online and pay via Pesapal or by walking into select Airtel outlets (in Nairobi) and franchises (in the regions). In Nairobi, you can pre-order at Airtel outlets at the Sarit Centre in Westlands, Uniafric House along Koinange Street, Airtel offices at Parkside Towers along Mombasa Road and Galleria Mall on Langata Road. In Mombasa you can place your pre-oders at City Mall in Nyali and Khamisi House on Moi Avenue. Airtel has partnered with franchises to avail pre-orders to those in Eldoret and Kisumu at Talktime Promotions, Tivoli Centre and Rumarco, Barngetuny Plaza respectively.
