We are not done with first half 2014 flagships yet. We have seen the rest get announced from HTC, Samsung, Sony, Nokia and Oppo among others, but Huawei and LG are yet to show us their 2014 driver. This is going to be the Huawei Ascend P7. We fetched a date and location from from this Slovakian blog who have it that the country of love, France will host the P7 unveil. The date is May 7th.
Huawei is expected to make an upgrade to the sleek Ascend P6 with a bump in specs and design language. Some of the expected specs include:
- 5 inch Full HD 1080p display
- 1.6 GHz HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor by Huawei
- 16GB internal storage with expansion options
- 2GB RAM
- 2460 mAh battery
- Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion 2 UI
- 13MP rear camera and an even bigger front selfie camera at 8MP
Some images had appeared on Chinese micro-blogging site Sina Weibo that show a black version of the Huawei Ascend P7 which shows a device that could be 5 inch in screen size and onscreen menus among other visuals on the screen (image was quite hazy).
Huawei already announced three new devices at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. This include the MediaPad M1 and MediaPad X1 tablets, Huawei Ascend G6 mid range smartphone and Huawei’s first wearable device, the Huawei Talkband B1. It won’t be surprising should Huawei decide to showcase the flagship Ascend P7 linking up to the wearable, either the Talkband B1 or another. There is some three weeks before we can find that out. Anything that pops up, be sure we will alert you soonest.
