In four days Huawei is going to unveil their flagship device of 2014, the Huawei Ascend P7. The invites have already been sent out, and a teaser video already published for the event that will happen on the afternoon of 7th May in Paris, France. Now this is expected to be the upgrade for the Ascend P6 launched last year.
Huawei Ascend P6 was a first attempt by Huawei to outdo itself in the design department and it did quite some swell job while at it. The Huawei P7 leaked by the usual culprit EVLeaks here also looks to apply the same design principles, only upgraded. The uni-body remains, making it a sturdy and sleek looking device even with the compromise of non-removable battery.
Ascend P7 does look friendly to the eye with the curves at the right places. The sides too look quite swanky looking. Not much is visible in this leak and if this is what’s coming it’s sure to impress. The front shows button-less home-screen, just like the predecessor Huawei P6 which had on-screen controls. You will also note that the micro-USB slot has moved to the bottom while the corners are curvier making this an easy rest on the arm while using.
There has been talk of a full HD 1080p display at 5 inch and 2 GB RAM, the camera is also said to get a boost with the rear at 13MP while the front at 8MP. Remember back when the Ascend P6 had the highest resolution front camera at 5MP?
See below a the expected specs sheet.
- 5 inch Full HD 1080p display
- 1.6 GHz HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor by Huawei
- 16GB internal storage with expansion options
- 2GB RAM
- 2460 mAh battery
- Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion 2 UI
- 13MP rear camera and an even bigger front selfie camera at 8MP
We don’t have so long to wait till the announcement happens and we will be ready to announce to you live when it happens.
