It is expected that Huawei is launching the Ascend P7 come 7 pm on May 7th in Paris. This is already official from Huawei. This video released last night affirms it with Paris and 4 being teased in the video. Nothing much is being detailed as usual but Paris and 4G with numerous phones and some form of anticipation creation.
Huawei Ascend P7 has been leaked for some time now, including the image renders and product specifications. It’s now slightly over a week to the launch so we shouldn’t be waiting long to see what Huawei has in store for us.The leaked specifications point to a flagship device unlike the Ascend P6 of last year that had mid range specifications.
5 inch full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1.8 GHz Kirin 910 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with expansion option via microSD, 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front which if true will mean some of the best front cam selfies there can be in the world, 4G LTE connectivity, Android 4.4 KitKat powered by a 2460 mAh battery.
Huawei has been gaining fast on the industry leader Samsung and going by the 48 billion sales units figures posted last year. This positioned it at position 3 ahead of LG and Lenovo respectively. Huawei is not goin slow on this and is positioning itself to much more growth. The launch in Europe is one pointer as to where the company sees itself, as a force in the flagship devices in mature markets.
Aggressive pricing is also Huawei’s forte although they have quite a modest approach to software, something that Samsung has managed to do quite well in the differentiation of their products. See video below:
