Samsung is weeks down from announcing the commencement of a campaign to get people to purchase Galaxy devices from Safaricom and Safaricom dealers in Kenya. The two have already awarded two BMW 316i cars to winners in the promotion. The most recent one was today.
Gilbert Ndirangu was one lucky man after a previous purchase of an entry level smartphone made him a winner of the coveted car. Gilbert, after getting the keys for his new car announced that he actually purchased the smartphone from Bonga Points, a reward scheme by Safaricom which lets subsctibers accumulate points based on airtime usage on their mobile phones.
Gilbert actually paid Kshs 3000 and together with his 3000 Bonga Points was able to redeem a new Samsung Galaxy S3 Lite. This is just the second of 6 winners to be announced before the year ends, meaning there is a chance for purchasers of Samsung Galaxy smartphones to win. But you can only win from a purchase at either Safaricom stores or Safaricom dealer stores.
One of the new Samsung Galaxy devices are coming into the market, the Galaxy Note 4 announced last month at IFA in Berlin. Samsung Vice President and COO announced that stocks for Galaxy Note 4 should be available in the shops from next week. SO those saving up to buy the best phablet in the world right now also stand to be winners. Samsung has already opened up pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 4 as detailed here.
