In less than a month Huawei will be unveiling their next flagship, almost a year after they unveiled the Ascend P7 in Paris, France. The Chinese company has been cozying to Europe and other western regions to open up new frontiers. They intend on getting more acceptance as a brand in Europe, and that’s the reason for launching there. Huawei has launched in London previously, for the Ascend P6 with Paris, France seeing the launch of Ascend P7 amidst a very lucrative distribution deal all over Europe with Orange.
2015 is here and they just recently launched wearables in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress. April 15th at 3pm GMT will be the launch date if the invite shared by GSMInfo is anything to go by.
It’s not rocket science to predict what comes with the Ascend P8, even going by the previous devices. The device will be a sleek thin profile device with metal edges and glass rear and front. Rumours point to a 5.3 inch full HD display with the recent Kirin 930 Octa (64 Bit Cortex A57 and Cortex A53 CPU cores inside), Mali 7628 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP rear OIS camera with something nearly as powerful in the front and 2600mAh battery.
Huawei head is quoted as saying that anything on top of 1080p on a phone is waste of pixels so full HD shoud be an expected max. The company is known to try interesting things with the camera software ranging from beautify setting to selfie stickers. So don’t be surprised if they add onto that functionality as crazy as turning a masculine face to feminine.
Anything we come across regarding the Ascend P8 will be told, expect that from us as we see what comes next from Huawei in the next few days, or weeks.
