Safaricom’s Nzioka Waita has tendered his resignation at Safaricom from his role as Director of Corporate Affairs. The legal mind has been at Safaricom for over 14 years where he joined as a legal assistant assigned to the network roll-out team. Safaricom has been undergoing an interesting shift in human resource especially in the Internet and Mobile department.
However, Nzioka’s resignation cannot exactly be connected with the recent employees exits, some who “resigned to pursue personal interests”, but his follows an appointment to a government job. Nzioka Waita has been appointed as the Secretary of Delivery in the Executive Office of the President, a position we are yet to establish what it’s meant to entail.
The appointment was announced on Twitter by the State House Spokesman Manoa Esipisu on Twitter.
