Samsung’s Sleek Galaxy A8 Won’t Come Cheap

Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung just took the wrapping off its latest upper mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A8. At just 5.9 mm thick, it is the thinnest smartphone the Korean electronics giant has ever made. With such a profile, just like the pioneer of the modern Samsung Galaxy smartphone look, the Alpha, it won’t come cheap.

The Galaxy A8 is up for pre-order in China and early reports quote the pricing at 3,199 Yuans or about $515 when converted. And that’s for the base 16 GB model. Getting the 32 GB model will set you back some $50 more. However while more internal storage is always welcome, the Galaxy A8, despite its thin profile, still has support for memory expansion.
