Are you a developer or have a startup with a service, product or application? Well, the Orange Developer Challenge is something you might want to apply for. This is a contest opened to startups and developers from Kenya among other African countries including, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt and Senegal and Jordan and France.
As a participant, you will be required to submit a proposal that will show how you can integrate a selection of Orange APIs into your service, product or application. These APIs include SMS, USSD and Billing APIs. Once integrated, you will be required to show how this can be valuable for countries in the region.
This is a chance to move your product or service to the next level with the help of Orange APIs. Not only will the development of your product with Orange APIs benefit your target audience, it is also a chance for Orange to enrich its customer experience and expand its product portfolio
Submit your proposals here, before the deadline on September 15 to enter the competition and stand a chance to win a variety of prizes. The local winner will walk away with Ksh. 350,000 and an Orange Klif phone, first runner up will get Ksh. 100,000 and an Orange Klif phone while the second runner up will receive Ksh. 50,000 and an Orange Klif phone.
The winners of the local chapters of the Orange Developer Challenge will compete globally for a chance to be the overall winner of among other things, 10,000 Euros and a potential to partner with Orange group or financial support form their partner Oasis 500 to develop your project.
