Remember this?
The Samsung Gear Fit stole the show over two years ago in Barcelona, Spain, when Samsung was announcing the Galaxy S5 and a couple of other uninteresting wearables in its Gear lineup. It was stylish, sleek, looked sharp and small. Just what every fitness ethusiast would obsess over. Two years down the line and Samsung hasn’t, yet, bothered to release a successor to the Gear Fit. If what Evan Blass managed to lay his hands on are photos of the real thing then we may not be far off from seeing the long awaited successor.
The not-so-exciting news is this: from the above images, it doesn’t look like the Gear Fit 2, as it is likely to be known as, will be that different from its first generation sibling. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken right? Other than a few design tweaks here and there, the inclusion of GPS tracking will likely be the standout feature of the wearable which features a 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display.
Samsung is also said to be working on another wearable, the Gear IconX, a pair of completely wireless earbuds that also double up as a fitness tracker and a standalone digital music player.
