Images of The Upcoming Honor 8 Lite Surface Online

Huawei’s sub brand, Honor, has been doing really well in the past few days (especially in the U.S). Just yesterday, images of a new upcoming device, the Honor 8 Lite, surfaced online showing off the device’s looks and ports and the unmistakable look-a-like to the Huawei P8 Lite (yes, they named a recent device after their 2015 flagship).

Huawei seems a bit confused if you may ask me. The P8 Lite (2017), may be sold as the P9 Lite (which was already launched and we reviewed it) in some countries and to confuse you even more, the Honor 8, Honor 8 Lite and P8 Lite all share the same looks, regardless of the difference in brand name.

Anyway, focusing on the leaked Honor 8 Lite images, we can see that the phone will have a micro USB port on the bottom, rather than the USB Type-C port that we have seen on many recently launched Android phones. It will have a single rear camera and maybe a rear fingerprint reader as well. The price for the Honor 8 Lite is expected to be about $300.

The leak comes from noted gadget leaker Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de. He added on Twitter that the Honor 8 Lite could launch in early March, after a possible reveal at MWC 2017. The phone will come in Blue, Black, Gold, and White colors.

Huawei has confirmed its plans to hold a press conference in Barcelona on February 26, the day before MWC 2017 officially begins. The announcement added that it will feature “the global unveiling of a new flagship device” at that event. It is possible that the “flagship device” could be a successor to the highly successful Huawei P9 smartphone.
