The highlight of the Galaxy S8 was its infinity display and its bigger brother, the Note 8 seems to be packing one as well.
Following the sad demise of the Note 7 last year, Samsung really has to bring their A-game with this year’s Galaxy Note device, which has been their biggest seller ever since the series was introduced.
Leaks coming out of Netherlands indicate that Samsung is putting all their might and power on the Galaxy Note 8. The leaks claim that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature an infinity display just like the S8/S8+. The size of the display is said to be 6.3-inches with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 with a 4K resolution (3840*2160).
The back of the device has also been slightly redesigned, with the flash and heart rate sensor moved to being below the vertical dual cameras and there is no longer a fingerprint reader on the back.
It’s believed that the Note 8 could feature a fingerprint reader embedded under the display, as the Galaxy S8 was originally intended to have, improved iris scanner and a fully functional Bixby AI.
In case you are wondering, yes, the Bixby button will still be present and according to the rumours, the button will now be textured.
Other specifications mentioned include Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage expandable via Micro SD card, 3.5mm headphone jack, IP68 water resistance, stereo speakers and a 4,000 mAh battery and an upgraded S Pen stylus.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be announced somewhere towards the end of August and the beginning of September.
