We are in another World Cup year and since this is 2018, satellite TV is not the only way we consume content at home. Streaming via the Internet is also another method and DStv is taking advantage of that.

DStv has partnered with Safaricom and Telkom to offer data bundles that would be used by DStv customers to keep up with the World Cup games on DStv Now on the go.

On Safaricom, the new data bundles are called Giga Football where you get 3 hours of unlimited 4G data for Kshs 20 or 24 hours of unlimited 4G data for Kshs 50. To get this data, dial *544#, select GIGA Football Pass, select DStv Now and choose the bundle. You can pay via MPESA or airtime.

On Telkom, the DStv bundles include a 4G bundle for Kshs 49 which is valid for 24 hours and a 10GB one for Kshs 999 that is valid for 30 days. To subscribe to these bundles on Telkom, dial *544# and select the DStv Soccer bundle. For Telkom, these new bundles are for 4G devices only and are exclusive to DStv Now, which means you can’t use them for general Internet browsing.

DStv says there is no additional subscription charge when you sign up from now.dstv.com. All you have to do is sign up online with your DStv credentials, download the Android or iOS app or even watch via your web browser on your laptop. Once you get the app, go to LiveTV, select Sport and stream the matches on the relevant Supersport channel.
