Since Mobile Money Interoperability was launched in Kenya, we have seen great improvements and even lower prices to send money from one network to another. Airtel Money and M-Pesa have been interoperable for a while now, however, the method of sending money across these two networks is not as easy as we would have hoped.
To send money from Airtel Money to M-Pesa:
- Dial *222*1#
- Select Language
- Select option 1 – Send money
- Select option 2 – Send money to Mpesa
- Enter recipient’s number
- Enter PIN when prompted
