Xiaomi is known as the Chinese company that sells Android smartphones in the Mi, Redmi and Pocophone lines.
However, most people do not know that they also sell other tech products under Mi-Home the umbrella.
Now Xiaomi Kenya has revealed that they are going to launch their first Mi-Home store in Sub Saharan Africa right here in Kenya quite soon. The store will be open in May 2019 and will include Xiaomi made products.
According to Xiaomi, you will be able to buy Xiaomi products like Mi TV boxes, Mi Bands, Smart Switches, Smart Lights, Bluetooth Speakers and their smartphones from the store.
Xiaomi Kenya teased about opening this store last year where they said they would open this store ‘next quarter’ which meant Q1 2019. Well, May is technically Q2 but it is still better than nothing really.
We hear you loud. And we take all the positive points home.
We won’t disappoint this market. Good things coming real soon including the 1st Mi Home in Kenya next quarter.

Currently, Xiaomi has a partnership with the online retailer, Jumia, which enables them to sell their products in Kenya countrywide.
The launch of this shop will probably reduce the reliance on Jumia while allowing Kenyans to experience other Xiaomi products that they did not have an idea of. This includes their wide range of smartphones, smart home devices that are gaining in popularity with millenials and it is my hope they bring this cool lamp too.
