South Korean tech giant Samsung recently got a new custom skin, One UI which is way better than TouchWiz and as Android Q nears public launch, we now know that the next version of One UI will be a 2.0 that Samsung devices will get along Android Q update plus packed with new features.
Here’s what we know so far
The Android Q update is said to bring all the Android Q features announced at Google I/O 2019 to Galaxy phones except for features such as Live Captions that will be available only for 2019 Galaxy phones including the S10 series.
For older devices like the Galaxy S9 and Note 9, Bixby Routines will be available to them. This feature is exclusive with the Galaxy S10 series.
One UI 2.0 will feature all Digital Wellbeing improvements Google showcased at their 2019 developer conference early this year. One handy feature is Focus Mode that will let users silence distracting apps when enabled for certain predefined apps.
The dates when this Android Q update is going to be rolled out are still uncertain according to SamMobile but seeing from how fast the South Korean giant brought Android Pie to its devices, we hope the same will be replicated for Android Q.
How about One UI 2.1?
According to the SamMobile report, One UI 2.1 will come next year with the launch of the Galaxy S11 series.
