Android 10-Based ColorOS 7 Is Now Official: Here’s the List of Devices Getting It

OPPO has finally launched the next version of its user interface, ColorOS 7 that’s based on Android 10, following Huawei’s EMUI 10 and Xiaomis’s MIUI 11. This is the latest Android user interface from the Chinese based company. ColorOS 7 brings with it a completely redesigned interface and being Android 10 based, expect to see a lot of changes influenced by Google’s operating system.

Features of ColorOS 7

For the homescreen, OPPO went ahead and used a more comfortable visual design that will let users change the shape and size of its icons and also offered new Art+ wallpapers to spice up your home screen.

In partnership with Episound, OPPO is bringing revamped sound effect design that simulates the sound of the real physical world such as OPPO Relax, immersive and soothing emotions.

ColorOS 7 promises to offer better RAM optimization capabilities. This means that app will start much faster as their start time is reduced by 40% and a system resource efficiency of 30%.

OPPO has also included new improvements for gamers such as better in-game frame rates and touch response.

ColorOS 7 will feature Breeno smart voice assistant too with Breeno driving mode, Breeno sleep mode, and Breeno automatic command.

The camera app gets Portrait Mode 2.0, enhanced night mode for photos and for videos, ColorOS 7 comes with a super-steady mode.

The gallery app also got upgraded to allow for faster capture, editing, and sharing.

ColorOS 7 will begin rolling out on November 25th.

Realme devices

Realme, OPPO’s sister brand will also be getting ColorOS 7 although slightly modified. Here’s Madhav Sheth, Realme’s CEO comments on this. He says that the Android skin will be close to stock Android.

ColorOS 7 will roll out to the Realme X and Realme X Youth Edition this coming February. In March, the new UI will go to the Realme Q.

In April 2020, the Realme X2 and Realme X2 Pro will be getting ColorOS 7.
