Telkom Kenya has today announced a revamp of their Pawa bundles with added value perks which include SMS and mobile data at affordable price points.
“It is worth noting that SMS and WhatsApp communication are popular among the young audiences who have been actively at home following the prolonged closure of educational institutions due to the current pandemic,” Telkom Director, Marketing, Mr. Eric Achola, said.
|Bundle||Pawa 10||Pawa 20||Pawa 20 Extra||Pawa 50|

|Data||50MB (WhatsApp)||100MB||100MB (up from 10MB)||200MB|
|Validity||24hrs||24 hrs||24hrs||3 days|
Telkom subscribers can sign up for these bundles by dialing *544# or *10# and choosing the Pawa option. You are allowed to buy another bundle before the existing bundle expires.
Telkom sees this voice bundle revamp as their commitment to providing solutions that address the customer’s everyday communication needs.
Bundles like this are popular in the Kenyan market due to their low price and their value preposition when compared to separate bundles. These type of bundles work well for the type of consumer that wants one bundle that can do it all and that is probably why Telkom decided to revamp their Pawa bundle offerings.
Early this year, the company revamped their data focused bundles where they ended up offering upto 100% more data for the same price.
This news also follows their partnership with Showmax to bring live mobile sports streaming as well as having a new Kaduda smartphone that runs on KaiOS. This is also the year when they decided to mutually drop merger talks with Airtel and focus on their key growth areas.
