OPPO has begun updating the OPPO A93 – its latest mid-range smartphone in Kenya with Android 11 and ColorOS 11.
OPPO’s ColorOS 11 which is based on Android 11 was launched late last year and the giant smartphone company has been rolling out it latest UI to its devices worldwide.
OPPO is rolling out ColorOS 11 beta to several of its devices starting with the OPPO F11 series, OPPO A52, OPPO A92, OPPO Reno 4 Z, OPPO Reno 2F, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, and OPPO F15 series.

To get the update, head to settings, scroll to Software Update, click on the gear icon, tap the Trial Version and you’ll see the update ready for you to download[3GB].
OPPO A93 launched with ColorOS 7.2 and Android 10. The new update brings the best of both Android 11 and ColorOS 11 including rich UI customization options, ability to select accent colours, generate wallpapers and create ringtones.
We have improved Dark Mode settings including Enhanced, Medium, and Gentle. You also get the option to adjust icons and wallpapers to dark mode. Third-party apps that don’t natively support dark mode will follow the system wide selected dark mode.
You get even more wallpapers from world-renowned artists that includes time-lapse photographs, macro and microscope wallpapers.
Another feature is a revamped OPPO Relax 2.0 that now includes Sound Mix.
Three finger screenshot now lets you translate text on screenshot thanks to OPPO’s partnership with Google Lens.
FlexDrop is also here with ColorOS 11 for multitasking. It looks like EMUI’s smart multi-window feature.
Private System lets you create a copy of your current system that is protected by password or fingerprint.
Other features ColorOS 11 include perfomance improvements in AI App Preloading, Hyper Boost 3.0, the support for third-party camera app sto acces video HDR.
Android 11 features including Nearby Share, Notifications History, Media controls, Conversation and Bubbles, Power Button Menu, New Emojis, Temporary Permissions, bility to pin apps in share menu and scheduled dark mode.
This update makes the OPPO A93 worth buying as the smartphone as it also has a 6.43″ AMOLED display, Mediatek Helio P95 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, 48MP quad-camera setup and 16MP selfie camera, Type-C charging port, 18W fast charging, 4000mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
All this for Ksh 31,000.
