Infinix will be availing the Hot 10 Play in the Kenyan market soon.
The device went official in January 2021, and has been available in other regions.
It should be the cheapest of the Hot 10 line, and was fashionably late to the stage because its sibling was announced back in Q4 2020.
The Hot 10 Play is an interesting phone, partly because it will cost less money than the vanilla Hot 10. Its specs are attractive, which include a big screen and a huge battery – some of the features that we have seen trickle down to entry-level smartphones.
Here are some of its specs:
Chip: MTK Helio G25
RAM: 2/4 GB
Internal memory: 32/64 GB
SD card expansion: yes
OS: Android 10 Go Edition with XOS 7.0 overlay
Screen: 6.82” IPS LCD, 720p+
Notch: yes
Selfie cam: 8 MP
Main cam: Dual, 13 MP main and depth sensor
Battery: 6000 mAh, 10W charging
Price: TBA
As said, the Hot line is always a sucker for big batteries and big screens. We are also glad to see that the device has met Google demands, which have since dictated that all Android Go devices should have at least 2GB of RAM, and not 1 GB.
Expect to see the phone on store shelves and in online shops very soon. Pricing should be attractive, so it is our expectation that it shouldn’t cost more than KES 13000.
