Lower-package StarTimes subscribers will be able to pay for their subscriptions once per year or four times a year.

The development was made official today by the Pat TV firm. According to the company, the payment program is targeting customers who have enrolled in the Nyota bouquet.

The monthly fee for the plan is KES 300. It is equipped with more than 20 international channels.

Now, customers can choose to pay for the plan at KES 1800 for a whole year. This is half the amount they would spend if they choose to pay every other month, which amounts to KES 3000, and effectively saving 50 percent.

Alternatively, they can pay KES 720 quarterly, which is 20 percent in saving of their three-month subscription spent on Nyota.

StarTimes Regional Marketing Director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga says that the development is based on the brand’s progressive engagement and feedback from subscribers geared towards not only availing competitive bouquet packages but also at the most competitive rates in the market given the prevailing economic conditions.

The introduction of annual and quarterly subscription options for Nyota bouquet users is guided by the need to offer the same great package at an exceptionally competitive rate which is a development tailored from feedback received from our engagements with subscribers even as we look to sustain our ongoing bouquet improvement efforts through increased diverse genres of local and international content StarTimes Regional Marketing Director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga.

The new payment model supplements daily, weekly and monthly options available to StarTimes subscribers across both terrestrial and satellite digital television platforms.

StarTimes offers other bouquets to digital and terrestrial space, which range from KES 600 for Basic that has more than 40 international channels, and Classic at KES 900 per month that has more than 60 international channels.
