Communication Authority has backtracked on its push for Kenyan Telcos to register all its users.

The Regulator has been calling telcos Safaricom, Telkom and Airtel to update their subscriber information.

Ezra Chiloba, Communication Authority Director General shared earlier today that the re-registration is only for unregistered lines. If you already registered your line, you won’t be required to visit any of the telco care centres.

You simply have to dial *106# code to quickly check which numbers have been registered under your ID card.

The past few weeks have seen Kenyans rush to get their lines re-registered in a bid to beat the April 15th deadline.

CA is aiming to tame the issue of fraudulently registered SIM cards means exactly that: their fake owners use them to commit fraud, or crime.

For Telkom Kenya customers, the process can be completed online, and fairly fast.

Here’s how to go follow through if you’re an Airtel subscriber.
