Former Safaricom PLC, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Kris Senanu, addressing attendees on the importance of the Safaricom M-PESA App during the NSSF Mini App launch Breakfast at the Safaricom HQ.

Kris Senanu has been known for his leadership roles at telcos such as Telkom Kenya and Safaricom.

Back in 2021, we learned that Senanu, alongside Steve Okeyo, who served as Head of Enterprise Business and Managing Director for Consumer Service Delivery units, respectively, left Telkom Kenya, left the third-largest operator in the country.

A couple of months later, Senanu would join Safaricom as Chief Enterprise Business Officer.

Today, we have learned that Senanu will no longer be working with Safaricom following his announcement that he will be leaving the company.

This development has been announced by Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa.

I would like to announce that our Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Kris Senanu, has made the decision to pursue other interests outside Safaricom. His last working day is 31st May 2022.

Kris joined Safaricom in June 2021 and has been instrumental in implementing Enterprise Business Unit’s first Mission, and development of the division’s second Mission.

During his time, he has re-established and enhanced Safaricom as a leader in the Enterprise space, grown the mobility business, and initiated digital transformation initiatives to enable SME DIY platforms. Kris has also worked to reduce the Enterprise Fixed churn.

As he embarks on the next phase of his career, I would like to thank Kris for his leadership and contribution to Safaricom. – CEO Peter Ndegwa
