Realme 9 and Realme C35

realme has added two more devices in its lineup of smartphones in the country – the midrange realme 9 4G and the entry-level realme C35.

Realme 9 108MP camera and Realme C35 50MP camera

Realme 9 4G

Realme 9 4G is the 4G version as the name says in the realme 9 series. We already have the more affordable realme 9i in the country and the newer addition ups its spec game.

Realme 9 4G comes with a 6.4″ AMOLED screen featuring 90Hz refresh rate. It also has 100 nits in peak brightness.

The show’s star is the 108MP triple camera setup accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor.

At the front is a 16MP front-facing camera.

We also have an under-display fingerprint reader that’s pretty fast.

You get your usual Type-C charging port, headphone jack, mono-speaker on the bottom, volume rockers on the left, and power button on the right.

Realme 9 4G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 5GB virtual RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

Realme 9 4G comes with Android 12 and Realme UI 3 straight out of the box.

realme 9 4G ships with a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Realme C35

Realme C35 succeeds the realme c25 from last year with new and welcome upgrades.

Right off the bat is the attractive design. Compared to the c25 series, this is a huge upgrade aesthetics-wise and completely changes the game.

Realme C35 design features a flat rim, sharp corner and clear steeped camera island. Interacting with the phone gives you that premium look thanks to the dynamic glowing design.

Realme C35 is pretty slim at 8.1mm and weighs in at 198g. It comes in two colours – glowing black and glowing green.

Realme C35 has a 6.6” 1080p LCD screen featuring 600 nits peak brightness. Realme C35 is the first phone in the C series to feature an FHD screen. Sadly, you get the standard 60Hz refresh rate.

Realme C35 runs on a Unisoc Tiger 616 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Realme C35 ships with Android 11 and Realme UI R straight out of the box.

Realme c35 comes packing four cameras which include an 8MP selfie camera housed in the waterdrop notch and a triple camera setup. We get a 50MP main and two 2MP monochrome lens and macro sensors. The 50MP sensor is the same one as the flagship Realme GT2.

Realme C35 has a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast type-c charging.

Pricing and Availability

Realme 9 is going for Ksh 30,999 while the Realme C35 starts at Ksh 21,999 at realme’s retail stores countrywide and at e-commerce sites like Jumia.

Stay tuned for our full reviews coming out very soon.
