Redmi 13C leaked renders

Renders of the Redmi 13C are out and this means that the phone is about to hit the market. The Redmi C series is a budget series for those looking for an affordable smartphone.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C is a successor of the 12C that was launched in March this year. Redmi 12C proved a success in the market and its successor may find good grounding in the low end of the market.

Personally, I used the Redmi 12C for about 2 months and for its price, I felt it packed a punch.

The leaked renders suggest three colour options for the upcoming Redmi. We expect a 50MP primary camera in a triple camera setup with an LED flash. Further, it keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a Waterdrop Notch on the display with a screen that has thick bezels.

Unlike its predecessor, the new Redmi will have a USB-C port, perhaps a sign that this is the future of all phones. The fingerprint sensor moves to the side, unlike the 12C which was in the back.

In the 13C, the volume and power buttons remain on the right-side edge.

13C Battery and Price

Battery specs and charging are not known but the 12C packed a big cell of 5,000mAh battery. We anticipate the successor will be the same but hopefully, it supports higher charging speeds.

Pricing is not known yet but as mentioned earlier, the Xiaomi C series tends to be feature-rich smartphones that are pocket-friendly.

The 12C had 3 options retailing between KES 14,000 and KES 17,000. We can use that benchmark to anticipate prices for the new model.

The device has already made an appearance in the GSMA IMEI suggesting we may have a chance to buy it soon. As usual, Techweez will have stellar reviews.
