iTel A70 Specifications and Price in Kenya

iTel A70 just launched in the country. This is their entry-level smartphone in the budget A Series and succeeds the A60 which was launched in the country early this year. They also announced a rebrand to celebrate its 16 years of operation with a focus on the youth and unveiled a new logo with a new tagline – Enjoy Better Life. 

Itel A70 comes with a faster Unisco T603 processor coupled with 3/4GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage. ItelOS 13 inside brings up to 4/5GB of onboard RAM. It also ships with Android 13 instead of Android 12(Go) from its predecessor.

There are a few design changes with the A70. It now has a Type-C charging port instead of the micro USB charging port. You get biometrics as well in the form of a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics which the A60 didn’t have.

The display is just the same as the A60 since you get a 6.6-inch 720p screen with the standard 60Hz refresh rate included.

In terms of colours, you get the Itel A70 in Stylish Black, Brilliant Gold, Field Green and Azure Blue. 

Upgrades also get to the cameras as the phone now has a 13MP dual main cameras and an 8MP selfie camera. Its predecessor came with 8MP dual main and a 5MP selfie camera. Both cameras record 1080p video.

For power, you get a 5000mAh battery with support for Type-C charging capped at 10W.

For those wondering, the phone comes with accessories in the box as you get earphones, a sim ejector tool, a charger and cable plus a black matte back case.

Itel A70 is available in the country for Ksh 13,000 at itel retail stores countrywide, partner stores and online on Jumia and Kilimall.

Itel is working with Safaricom and EasyBuy which offer device financing plans like the former’s Lipa Mdogo Mdogo plan. These plans are available at Safaricom’s official shops and select partner retail stores.
