RS South Africa, which sells a wide range of tech products and services to industrial businesses around the world, has partnered with Hydromatics as a new reseller in Kenya. This is a key part of the South African company move to expand their reseller network throughout Africa. Further, it is about solidifying brand presence and growing connections within the region.
In Kenya, Hydromatics will be a key player in promoting and selling the entire RS product line. This partnership will enable RS South Africa to maintain product stocks close to their clients. Hence, it will reduce lead times and minimise downtime for corporate clients in terms of spare parts and components. East African customers also stand to benefit from access to a technically staff for guidance.
“As the largest economy in East Africa, Kenya serves as our gateway for market expansion,” comments Prosper Shoniwa, Exports Business Development and Operational Manager, RS South Africa.
Hydormatics was chosen as it has a long-time presence in Kenya. In addition, it has the capacity to deliver to the target markets. RS’s focus is on streamlining procurement purchasing processes. Due to this, the company has committed to deliver goods within four to six days.
“We believe that this clear route to market strategy and our value proposition will drive our growth in Sub-Saharan Africa,” comments Sukhvinder Sagoo, Director, Hydromatics.
RS is a trading brand of RS Group plc. It stocks stock more than 750,000 industrial and electronic products. The company sources from over 2,500 leading suppliers, and retails via physical stores and online.
