Smartphone manufacturer Oppo has today launched a new A3 series in the Kenyan market alongside a new retail store in the capital as the company looks to increase its operations in the country.
As reported by Android Kenya, Oppo states that the new store at Sarit Centre is set to be a hub of experience for customers where they can get a hands-on look at all the latest tech from the company and enjoy customer service.
The store opening ceremony also saw the Chinese firm officially unveil the Oppo A3 and A3x, a budget series that succeeds the A2 set. In terms of looks, the only big difference between the two sets would be the camera module that moves away from the circular design to a more rectangular design.
Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset and a 5100mAh battery pack with 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge. Like we’ve seen with other budget smartphones from the company, the A3 series boasts impressive military-grade shock resistance designed to make the phone withstand all sorts of impact from falls or scratches.
On pricing, the A3x retails at KES 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB options and KES 17,999 for the 128GB variant. The A3, on the other hand, sells at KES 23,999 for the 6GB/128GB model and KES 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant.
