Xiaomi Kenya has today launched its new budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C in the country which is set to retail with an attractive bundled offer in its first week of sale.
The overall design of the phone is quite familiar to customers boasting an 8.2mm thick plastic frame and a circular camera module design which you would say is always a striking feature.
The phone sports a huge 6.88-inch display with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications making it ideal for long reading sessions or extended video calls.
Under the chassis lies a MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core processor with 4GB, 6GB and 8GB RAM options, the latter being expandable to up to 16GB. The Redmi 14C is juiced up by a 5160mAh battery which would be more than enough for a phone that is designed to be power efficient with 18W charging support. According to Xiaomi, the battery provides up to 22 hours of video playback.
On the rear module sits a 50MP main camera while the display holds a 13MP front-facing camera.
As for pricing, the Redmi 14C is available at a starting cost of KES 13,699 with the phone selling in 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB configurations. The 6GB model sells at KES 15,099 and the 8GB at KES 16,999. It’s now available at all Xiaomi Kenya Promoter Stores nationwide in three colour options; Midnight Black, Sage Green, Dreamy Purple and Starry Blue. Those who get the phone in the first week will have the chance to get free Redmi Buds 6 Play
