The next iteration of Infinix‘s gaming smartphone lineup appears to be in the works, as the Infinix GT 30 Pro has been spotted in the IMEI database under the model number X6873.
Though hardware specifications remain under wraps, the listing suggests we might see the device launch earlier than its predecessor’s May 2024 debut.
The GT 30 Pro follows the successful GT 20 Pro, which made waves in the sub-KES 40,000 segment with its gaming-focused features. The previous model set a high bar with its impressive 6.78-inch AMOLED display, boasting a 144Hz refresh rate and an incredible 1300 nits peak brightness.
It also featured a unique mecha-inspired design complete with RGB lighting and a distinctive C-shaped ring on the back.
Under the hood, the GT 20 Pro was notably the first phone locally to sport the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Photography capabilities included a 108MP main sensor backed by two 2MP auxiliary cameras, while selfie duties were handled by a 32MP front shooter.

However, what set the GT 20 Pro apart in the gaming sphere was its dedicated Pixelworks X5 Turbo chip and X Boost gaming mode, delivering consistent 90 fps performance in most games. The gaming experience was further enhanced by dual JBL speakers and an X-axis linear motor for improved haptics.
Early buyers of the GT 20 Pro received an appealing bonus in the form of the GT Pro Gaming Kit, which included a GT Mecha Case, Cooling Fan, and Finger Sleeves. There’s a good chance that Infinix might have similar gaming-focused accessories planned for the GT 30 Pro’s launch.
Though any specific details about the Infinix GT 30 Pro remain scarce, expectations are high for improvements to the already impressive gaming capabilities and overall user experience of its predecessor.
The timing of the IMEI listing, which was first spotted by Gizmochina, indicates an imminent launch for what might be one of the most anticipated gaming phones in the budget segment for 2025.
