The Most Important Tech In the iGaming Industry – This May Shock You

The world of iGaming nowadays is a lot more complex than it once was because it uses very sophisticated technology. Operators and software suppliers rely on AI, virtual reality and all kinds of other tools to help them run their business. Nevertheless, there are tons of other processes happening behind the scenes that many people are not fully aware of and this article will show all of them.

So, What Happens after People Place a Bet?

The bet-placing process nowadays is straightforward for people and it usually takes just a few seconds. However, the operator has to do a lot to make sure everything works properly.

The system will check your location, identity, balance, restrictions and limits, and once it makes sure everything is okay, it will validate the odds and market status. This happens regardless of whether you read the Mozzart daily jackpot prediction and then place a bet or if you just decide to punt on something else you’ve chosen.

Once the platform accepts the wager, it will record the transaction and then reserve it. Afterward, the settlement applies the result and credits winnings.

An operator will always include some kind of traceable records whose goal is to help investigate disputes.

The PAM Platform – The Industry’s Hidden Control Center

PAM is something that many people haven’t heard of, but it’s essential in the day-to-day operations of every gambling company. It’s a system that connects customer registration, identity verification, wallets, payment providers, bonuses, and gambling limits together.

The idea behind this tool is to provide players with a smooth experience when switching between products. Some platforms will offer both sports betting and online casinos and allow clients to use them with the same balance. Operators also have to make sure they separate cash from bonus funds, as the wagering requirements apply differently.

Overall, the PAM architecture is very important and it’s something that has become popular in the last couple of years. It’s way more important than having a flashy homepage, so it’s advisable for players to research the site they want to use before signing up.

The Transaction Ledger May be Even More Important

Another interesting thing many of you may not be fully aware of is related to the payments that online gambling operators process. Modern bookies and casinos work hand in hand with many payment providers.

Operators have to record every single transaction, including when you make deposits, place bets or receive winnings. As a result, all sites need to have a system in place that tracks your money and ensures your balance is correct.

People take these systems for granted, but the truth is that they are very sophisticated. They must ensure everything is in order and provide a transparent overview of the transactions. Given how many people use these sites, the systems must also handle thousands of payments accurately every day, which is essential for building trust.

The Identity Verification Process

One of the requirements that gambling companies worldwide must follow is related to the identity verification process. Every site offering such services must ensure that users meet the minimum age required by local law. To ensure that, sites require players to provide different kinds of documents that verify their age and location.

The US is an interesting example because online sports betting is legal in some states and restricted in others. Gambling websites use a special kind of geolocation to verify that players are actually located in a jurisdiction where betting is allowed.

Yes, there are cases where these checks are inconvenient and may feel very restrictive, but they usually work fine. What’s interesting is that they have become much better over the last couple of years, and players can’t even bypass them with VPNs or other options.

The Random Number Generators

Another crucial piece of tech that gambling companies have to implement and use properly is the Random Number Generator. This tech allows games to produce random results and ensures that all casino games are fair. Once a luxury, this tech is now a necessity for every legitimate iGaming site because it’s the only way to ensure its games aren’t rigged.

The RNG tool produces random results that determine outcomes, such as the symbols that appear on a slot machine. If everything works properly, all results must be random and winning or losing before the specific round you’re currently playing shouldn’t make a difference.

Live Betting Tech

Live betting is among the best examples of how tech has changed the gambling industry in the last couple of years. This used to be one of the biggest luxuries back in the day, but nowadays, people take it for granted because it’s available on almost all sports betting platforms.

Live betting is hard to operate because betting platforms have to handle tons of data and continuously update the odds. They need to do that as fast as possible to reflect everything happening within that live match. Before the implementation of AI, there were people whose job was to keep track of these live matches and ensure the odds were accurate.

What’s also interesting about the live betting tech is that it has specific tools that allow sites to temporarily suspend certain bets while the news are calculated. This is extremely important for the bookie because it may offer odds much higher than usual.
