Huawei is not done with the product launches this year. Not before they launch something to excite the market for the second half of the year. The Chinese company already launched the Huawei Ascend P7 that raised it’s stakes among the global flagships. Now they want to put that nail in with the Ascend D7 which seems to be an even tougher machine than the Ascend P7 is.
September 4th is the confirmed date and Huawei has already sent out the invites for an event in Berlin just before IFA 2014 starts. The physical invites as you can see in the image above here show the design of the phone plus a hint that it will have a fingerprint scanner. Some have argued about the possible placement of the scanner now that Huwei smartphones have no physical home button with some suggesting that it could in the back.
Well, September 4th isn’t far to confirm all these and more when Huawei goes on stage to show us what they have been working on. So far the rumoured device is the 6 inch Ascend Mate 7 which is expected to have an impressive specs sheet and will get announced just around the same time as the rival phablet Galaxy Note 4. Specs expected include the quite impressive Kirin 920 octa-core processor by Huawei, 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front, 4G LTE which is one of the main event focuses and Emotion 3 UI skinned on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Does this look interesting enough to trigger your phablet taste glands?
