Samsung already opened pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge. The two devices have a pre-order price of Kshs 75,000 and Kshs 90,000 for the Galaxy S6 32GB and Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB versions respectively. They also come with extras for the pre-order customers, these being a wireless charger and cover with a total value of Kshs 10,000 for the two. Samsung first sent a message to existing high end Galaxy device users before opening pre-orders up to the general public.
The two devices are said to be already receiving pre-orders from consumers wishing to be first in line to get these new devices. They are expected to hit the Kenyan shelves in April 16th according to Samsung Electronics East Africa VP Robert Ngeru.
“We have begun to receive inquiries for the Galaxy S6. The appetite for product is high because of its all new design, fast camera, in built wireless charging and the fastest processor in the market. The devices are beautifully designed, and are more powerful than any previous Galaxy device in terms of usability and functionality” added Mr. Ngeru.
Early reviews of the device by leading blogs who already have access to the devices point to interesting products with well known hardliners like Joanna Stern of the Samsung band-aid fame taking to Twitter to profess their love for the device.
