Google has continued its mission to take its low cost Android smartphone program, Android One, to as many countries as possible with a launch in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates is now the latest market to get an Android One device after Portugal and Spain became the first European markets to get Android One love last week.
The Infinix Hot 2 smartphone launched in the UAE is the same one currently on sale in Africa where Google has partnered with online retailer Jumia to provide the device in several markets including Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt. The device features a 5 inch HD display, a quad-core MediaTek MT-6580 processor, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.
