Coming Soon: Tecno Camon C9 with Better Cameras and Bigger Battery

0

It appears that Tecno is already on course to unveiling a successor to last year’s Camon C8. The Tecno Camon C9 has already surfaced online thanks to multiple sources.

Tecno’s Camon smartphone lineup is meant to bring quality smartphone cameras to the budget segment. The Camon C9 is expected to be no different since it is rumoured to pack 13-megapixel sensors with dual LED flash on both the front and the back. This is said to be meant to make the cameras better in low-light.

The device is also expected to ship with Tecno’s new HiOS user interface on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Tecno has already released an update to the Camon C8 that brought HiOS and Marshmallow to the device.

Other rumoured specifications at this point hint at 2 GB RAM, 7mm thickness and a fingerprint sensor. Tecno is rumoured to also pack a battery with the same capacity as that on its new L8 smartphone, 5,050mAh. The device will also have LTE, like its predecessor and every other Tecno smartphone hitting the market today.

According to Tuko, the device is set to cost Kshs 20,000 when it eventually hits the Kenyan market soon. That will be a significant rise from the current price of its predecessor. The Camon C8 goes for as low as Kshs 12,500 at the moment though its price was much higher when it launched last year where it cost Kshs 19,000.

Since it is way too early to be sure about anything, take everything with a pinch of salt.
