We actually live in an age where people dig through a beta app to check out new features that have not been released yet to the public. One app that constantly gets this treatment is WhatsApp and a Twitter account that is known to do this is @WABetaInfo.

According to their tweet, they have published a list of changes to the WhatsApp beta for iOS(2.17.3.28. 2.17.3.37 and 2.17.3.61) which reveal interesting additions to the messaging app.
Live location
This is an interesting addition to WhatsApp for iOS. Apparently the feature will track the location of the group participants in a map. Fortunately every participant will be able to disable this option and it will be disabled by default.
Contact us
Only available to beta users, when you shake your iOS device while on a chat ,you will see a ‘contact us’ notice that could be used to report spam directly to WhatsApp.
Status messages
There are improvements in replying to status messages which means they will probably roll out the ability for your contacts to reply to your status in the future.
Revoking messages
You will be able to cancel messages, which is extremely crucial if you sent a text to the wrong person. This has been effected already on Telegram.
Editing messages
In this release, they temporarily removed the ability to edit messages but it might make a comeback.
Most of the other changes include bug fixes and other improvements in other features contained in WhatsApp. This features tend to stay a while before being released to the general user base so you might have to be patient.
