Twitter is usually alight when there is football since people use it as a second screen to comment about the match they are watching on the big screen.
Well yesterday, there was a Champions League fixture which was the first round of the last 16 between the German team, Bayern Munich and the English football club Arsenal. This was a highly anticipated match since they are popular teams that have a worldwide appeal.
The match however didn’t go very well for Arsenal as they were beaten by 5 goals to one by the home team and such a humiliating loss did not go unnoticed on Twitter. This led to the timeline being filled with Arsenal fans having ‘meltdowns’ about the match and also banter from fans from other teams.
