Information coming from a very reliable source, Evan Blass aka evLeaks, will break the hearts of many who were looking forward to the Galaxy Note 8.
Venture Beat cites information from an individual briefed on Samsung’s plans for the Note 8.
First things first, the launch of the Note 8 is expected to be the second half of September and not earlier as we initially thought. The device will supposedly retail for a LOTtle, oh sorry, I mean a little over $900.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 just like we’ve seen with the Galaxy S8. The Note will come with horizontal dual cameras of 12MP each at the back, S Pen stylus, Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and a modest lesson-learnt 3300mAh battery.
The device is said to have the fingerprint reader on the back, just like we do with the Galaxy S8 but this new information reveals that the distance between the lens and the reader has been increased. So, say goodbye to the hopes of having a fingerprint reader embedded underneath the display.
DeX support will also be included and at launch, the device will be available in three colors; black, blue and gold.
Aside from the dual cameras, S-Pen and extra 2 gigz of RAM, the Note 8 offers nothing more over the Galaxy S8 Plus, which retails at $100 dollars less.
I don’t know about you but I am not excited anymore.
