Microsoft really wants all its apps across all the platforms to feature a dark theme or dark mode. Following leaked screenshots of dark mode for Outlook, OneNote is next. Beta testers of the note-taking app from Microsoft have started seeing dark mode on the app.
The update is server-side and limited to a few users in the beta program. The dark mode feature isn’t as perfect but we’re glad Microsoft is working on this highly requested feature that Keep, a Google note-taking app already has it on its apps and on the web.
From the screenshots, you’ll see that some text is black placed on top of a dark background making it illegible which is bad UI and hopefully Microsoft fixes this before rolling out the feature to the public.
There also no toggle for dark mode so far as it is applied automatically.
