Dark mode is everywhere on Facebook’s family of apps that includes Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger except the Facebook app.
Even the website now has a dark mode interface among other design changes.
We now know that dark mode for the app is nearing release date.
It’ snot actually dark mode but more of grayscale with white accents for logos and icons.
The setting to enable dark mode will be in the settings but the app might follow system-wide dark mode.
The screenshots reveal that Facebook is still testing different options to go with.

There’s no timeline or schedule for when dark mod for the app will go live but it sure looks a launch is imminent.
Hopefully, this will be in line with dark mode for the Android app too.
