Airtel Kenya is known for their cheap data bundles and today they have announced new ones under their Amazing data bundles offering.
Today, the company has announced a new bundle promotion that will see its customers enjoy upto 15GB free data. The new daily, weekly and monthly data promotion will allow customers get 500MB free data daily depending on their data plan of their choice.
This 500MB free data bundle will be valid for 24 hours which if you tally for a 30 day month means upto 15GB free data monthly.
“As a company we are cognizant of the prevailing trying times we are living in and understand that our customers’ needs especially with regards to accessing the internet for various purposes have increased substantially. It’s on this premise that we continue to offer our customers great value for money through our products and services whilst allowing fast Internet access through our 4G network. We are currently in the midst of a major rollout of new 2G/3G/4G sites across the country to ensure that our existing and new customers who join the network, will enjoy industry best data offerings. I am confident that our consumers will love this new offering as it gives extra data to all our consumers irrespective of whether they are daily, weekly or monthly bundle users,” Airtel Kenya Managing Director, Prasanta Das Sarma said.
You can see this being useful for those instances when you finish your current bundle plan while doing data intensive work. This could be attending a meeting via Zoom or you are streaming content on YouTube or you were downloading content. It is a win win for the 14 million Airtel customers out there.
This move by Airtel follows what Safaricom did last month where they started giving 500MB of free data that expires in a day.
I gotta tell you that they are using various marketing strategies to lift the brand to fight its competitors.
